The Digital Endurance Championship (DEC) team would like to share an important update regarding the start of our first official season. After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the start of Season 1 to early 2027.

Reserve a grid spot now, pay later!
We understand that paying €35 for a new championship can feel like a big step, especially when there are not many teams on the grid yet. So we have updated our app. From today, you can sign up your team and reserve a spot on the grid without paying first. You just need to pay before the deadline on October 21st.

Roadmap #10: The Port to iRacing
Last time, I told you about the frustrations behind finding out that driver swaps were not available in LMU, forcing us to change plans. In this article, I'm taking you through the journey porting the app and the championship to iRacing.

Roadmap #9: And Then... Disaster
And then disaster happened. Something so absurd that it slipped through my thorough research and preparation. Something I never even thought of looking into, because it seemed so basic for a game like Le Mans Ultimate.

Roadmap #8: The Doors Are Open
Seven articles of plans, promises and specifications. Here is the eighth, and it is a short message with a lot behind it. Roadmap #5: It Actually Runs Now
A few weeks ago, the Digital Endurance Championship was a stack of documents. Good documents, but still: paper. Rules nobody had raced under, screens nobody had clicked, a database that existed only as a diagram.

Roadmap #4: Filling The Grid
So far this series has been about what I am building. This one is about who I am building it for, and how I intend to find them.

Roadmap #3: Building A Digital Hub
Think about how you normally enter a sim racing championship. You find the sign-up form in a Google Sheet. The rules are a PDF somebody linked in a Discord channel three weeks ago. The calendar is a pinned message. The results are on a different website. The server password arrives by direct message, usually from a person who is asleep when you need it. And when you want to know whether that penalty from round two actually changed the standings, you ask in Discord and hope.

Roadmap #2: A New Standard
In Roadmap #1 I said the DEC is built on trust, and that trust has to be earned rather than announced. This article is where I have to start paying that off, because there is no faster way to destroy a competition than a stewarding decision nobody can explain.
